Last Post of 2013

Hi!

I hope you all have had a wonderful year! Thank you all so much for following me and keeping up with me. It means a lot to me that as wishy-washy with my blog as I’ve been, quite a few of you have stuck around to read what I have to say!

My weekend was somewhat slow, but definitely good. On Saturday I painted my nails. The design I chose was for my friend Sierra, who suggested it when I asked what she thought I should do. I didn’t end up liking it very much. The color I actually own least of is pink…which is strange…but anyways, I think this design would have been cute with a baby pink, but I don’t have one. The pink that I chose is Peach Daiquiri by Essie. I do not like this polish. It is too runny and then goes on in layers that quickly get too thick. The cross I did didn’t come out too well either. Anyhoo, here’s the picture.Image

That day I just relaxed, went to work, and spent some down time. On Sunday I worked 9-5 and had a somewhat of a hard day, but when I thought about the plan He has for me and how much He loves me…. I felt so much comfort and happiness and I felt okay again. I realized it was just a challenge to keep my strength fresh and growing. So later that day my brother took me to run an errand, and afterwards, he took me to his new house for dinner. I am so proud of my brother (who is 9 years older than me). He has his own little family and a nice, beautiful house. It was so fun to see what he’s done for himself! I love my brother to pieces.

Sunday night I painted my nails for New Years! I have a picture of how they looked last night and today, but after I write this post I am going to actually go add some other stuff to them and take a new picture that will be up on Thursday. Here is how they turned out at first! I used just a normal white, and the blue that I posted about in the past; Lots Of Lux by Essie from their New Years 2014 collection. </p>IMG_3423<
I'm excited to add something extra to them! Tomorrow for New Years Eve, I'm going to spend the day with my boyfriend, relaxing, enjoying our last day of the year together, and that evening we will probably hang out with family and family friends until the New Year!

I almost forgot to tell you about today…

Today was such a wonderful day. My boyfriend randomly decided to take today as a day to pamper and spoil me. When he picked me up this morning he took me to a surprise breakfast at our favorite little Cafe with crepes. The day was spent wonderfully, relaxing, laughing, having a great time. Then he took me to the store and put me in the cookie aisle, told me to look at the cookies and pick a few, and then he returned, brought me around the corner, and surprised me with a HUGE vase of beautiful roses. They were the most beautiful roses or flowers he’s ever given me so far. Afterwards, he took me to get my favorite smoothie in the whole world, and then home to laugh and relax some more. Tonight we tried to go to dinner but it was so packed, we couldn’t get in in time. So after we tried going to a sit down place, we just ended going to another one of my favorite cafe’s for some soup and a sandwich. It was such a lovely day and it reminded me of how blessed I am to have this man in my life that loves me so much. And of course I love him so much…so much. As cheesy as it sounds, I never thought in my life I could ever love someone this much.

And on that note, I’ll leave you for the year! See you next year. I hope everyone has an amazing and safe New Year’s Eve and New Years Day. It’s been a great year…have a blessed night.

December 27 2013

Hi again.

Sorry for posting a day late yet again, but it was too close together to post on Thursday when I had just posted on Tuesday. Next week my posts will be back on the correct dates.

So! My Christmas was wonderful. I hope yours was too, or if you don’t celebrate it, I hope you just had a great day! I woke up extremely early as usual, woke my family up, and we had coffee and opened gifts. I was so happy that this year I have somewhat of a steady income and was able to get each member of my family really nice gifts, as well as stuff the stockings. I was just in heaven watching them open them, smiling, and enjoying the real gifts I was able to get for them. Then we hung out for a bit, my boyfriend came over, and I got to spend time with him. Then him and I and my family all went to my grandparents for dinner and some family time. It was the best day. The gifts I recieved were wonderful as well; I got a pretty general supply of the type of things I wanted off my list. I of course didn’t get everything off my list, because that’s unreasonable, but what I did get were things here and there -similar if not exact replicas- from things on my list, which made me very happy. Most of what I asked for this year was just workout supplies and accessories as that’s my favorite thing to do and I want all the gear in the world to fuel that hobby! While I won’t go into detail about all of my gifts, I would like to share a couple things that I got. I am extremely grateful for everything I got and this is of course not to brag, just to share, as one would do with a girlfriend in real life.

From Kasey, I got a new NueMe flat iron, and this is honestly one of the most useful gifts I have ever recieved. Not only is it my first high end flat iron, it’s hot pink, it works very clearly, and it straightens my hair quicker than the salon does! I have been enjoying it very much.

From my boyfriend’s sister and dad, I got a new Nike duffle bag amongst other things. It is another one of the most useful gifts I’ve ever recieved. I love it so much and I use it almost every day! Another thing they got me was a 3-wick candle from Bath & Body Works scented “Buttercream Mint.” I am IN LOVE with this candle. I’ve had a few 3-wick candles from there but I always end up giving them away as I pick out too strong of scents and those candles fill up the room with their scent very fast, resulting in the candles I pick out just constantly giving me headaches. First of all, this candle is the most light and delicious scent I have ever smelled. Also, it does fill up my room as fast as the others, but since it’s somewhat of a light scent, it never bothers me! In fact I burn it several times each day and can’t get enough.

From my parents one thing I got is a pilates DVD set. Pilates is my favorite form of exercise, as I’ve mentioned, and I can never get enough. My favorite Pilates instructor does her videos on Youtube, and since my laptop is currently broken, I have to do her routines from just watching my small phone screen, and it can get very uncomfortable to try to watch it on there while moving around. The set they got me is 3 different DVDs with a wide variety of routines and moves with a new instructor who I already like. And did I mention they’re DVDs??? I can just pop them into the TV and it is so easy! No moving around my phone across my mat with me, straining my neck trying to watch as I do the moves!

My grandparents gave me some money and I very quickly put it to use yesterday! I went and picked up a new planner that I am in love with, and two books. I got 50 Things Your Life Doesn’t Need by Sam Davidson & Patience, The Art Of Peaceful Living by Allan Lokos. I have started the first book already and it is such a good read. It is about decluttering your life (Not materialistic things.. emotional and social things.) to find your passion and who you are. I am really into self improvement books and I believe one cannot own or read enough of these books!

Aside from Christmas, I have not re-done my nails since Christmas Eve yet, but plan to do them over again tomorrow evening so I will be sure to take photos of that. And as far as working out goes.. up until today I hadn’t been working out at all because of being sick. Today I still have a headache, cough, and stuffy mucus (sorry for TMI), but for some reason I knew that I was well enough for a workout. I tried out one of the DVDs from my parent’s gift and did a 20 minute total body Pilates routine. It wasn’t very intense, but it felt very good and has put me in a fantastic mood today. My body definitely needed at least a little something.

This weekend I have no plans except working on a secret project for my anniversary with my boyfriend, working, and relaxing. I will update you on Monday on how my tiny little life is going!

Have a wonderfully blessed day.

Christmas Eve 2013

Hi! Merry Christmas Eve or Happy Holidays.

I apologize for today’s post being a day late! I promised everyone Mondays and Thursdays, but sometimes there just isn’t any time in the day so it has to be postponed a bit.

My weekend was a blur, I don’t even remember much of what I did. For the first time in my life the week leading up to Christmas FLEW by and I am so surprised that it’s in less than a few hours now!

I did paint my nails a few times this week, but I forgot to take pictures when they were fresh and then I went to work where I use my hands a lot and we also use bleach, so they get chipped every time. I will try to develop the habit of taking a picture right after I’ve done them for my blog. Howeverrrr, I just painted my nails a little bit ago today and I did take pictures! I painted my toenails last night to match, but I didn’t want a picture of my feet on the internet…some weirdos are out there and just..yeah. So, I wanted to do a Christmas theme for my nails this year but when I went to pick my colors, I realized that I was trying too hard. Part of my personality is that I try way too hard with everything and it makes me come off annoying and like I’m trying too hard. For once I realized I just wanted to seem kinda perfect with some perfect Christmas nails and a nice outfit while I’m with my family tomorrow, but that’s not what would actually make me happy. So, I went with one of my favorite colors and just did something pretty that did make me happy! Who cares that my nails don’t look like Christmas! I used Lady Like by Essie & The Statement Piece by Loreal. Sorry for the weird photo locations of the nail polish bottles; I just had to find a random spot that the camera would pick up the best image of their true color.

Today has been a great Christmas Eve so far, except for the fact that I have developed a cold. I am grateful that it’s not strep throat, though. That’s what I thought it was when my throat first started hurting two nights ago. This morning my boyfriend came over for a couple of hours to hang out with me and my family. He brought along our hamster, Delilah, and we put her in her roll-around ball so my sister could play with her. Then I made 4 cookie sheets worth of cookies for family tomorrow. Now I’ve just gotten done painting my nails! After I wrap up this post I’m going to go clean, fold laundry, and wrap one more gift. Tomorrow will be such an amazing day with all of my family and my sweet Kasey. I am so excited to spend time with everyone together and for everyone to open all of the gifts I picked out for them.

Again, Merry Christmas, or if you don’t celebrate that holiday, just have a great day and holiday season in general.
